Whether it’s a traditional Rainman in a blue case or the newer naked configuration, over half of our customers install their watermaker. The Rainman control panel is an optional accessory designed to provide a highly presentable and functional interface. If you prefer a minimalist control setup, the control panel is not required.

The control panel retains the Rainman simplicity for which we are known, while incrementally adding a number of convenient features to allow for simpler access and remote control.

Control Panel Description

Simple Manual Operation

The control panel retains Rainman’s simple manual operation. To make water:

  1. Switch the system on
  2. Rotate the pressure valve until pressure reads in the green zone
  3. When the water quality LED lights green, set the product water valve to “Tank”.
  4. After you switch the system off, an autoflush cycle will trigger. (Autoflush is optional)

Durable and Stylish Construction

The panel is made of durable injection moulded, UV resistant, ASA acrylic.

Simple Installation

Most of the system comes preassembled, with only minimum requirement for attaching fittings.

Autoflush Integration

If you have the optional autoflush kit, the panel incorporates an LED to indicate time until next flush. When you switch the watermaker power off at the control panel, a flush cycle will be triggered and timer set for seven days.

Integrated Product Water Quality Indicator

A tri-colour LED will glow either green, amber, or red to indicate water quality. If the system is running with LED green, all is okay. If it is amber, think about changing membranes. If it is red, there is a fault or worn membrane.

Low Voltage Panel Wiring

The panel is powered by low power 12-24VDC, even for an AC Rainman watermaker. The switching of the higher power devices is performed through a relay mechanism at the pressure supply unit (PSU).

Flush Mount or Enclosure Box

You can mount the panel flush in an appropriate space. If you do not have available space, the panel comes with an enclosure box that can be easily screwed or glued on the bottom, side, or back. This provides maximum flexibility on the installation location.
