Rainman Life

This page is simply dedicated to a few of our favourite customer imagery. We always like seeing photos of Rainman in action, so please send us unique photos or videos you have.

Remote Western Australia

Nicki and Jason hired a Rainman Watermaker from Pleisure Marine in Perth for some remote beach camping. What a lovely spot and great short clip of drone footage.

Vanuatu - Getting through the drought

While we love our yacht cruising customers and friends, seeing our product getting used for relief in remote coastal indigeneous communities is particularly satisfying. A wet season that was not very wet in Vanuatu led to several of our systems being deployed and rotated around the country to provide water in remote areas.

Port Vila Training Day

Here is a training session for Rainman users to use the systems in remote areas. The project funding was combined government and NGO. One year after deployment, we’re seeing systems that are completely beaten up by getting constantly moved between boats and communities. The boxes are ugly now, but they still make great water.

Alaska

Ken and Marlene Coffey made us particularly envious when they sent photos of them with their Rainman on their trip up the Inside Passage from Vancouver to Alaska.

Osprey Reef, Coral Sea

Robin Jeffries spends a lot of time out at the very remote Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea. He’s a keen diver and photographer and puts heaps of photos up on his blog site www.cruisingtheedge.com.

Robin is one of several customers that really likes the pressure washer attachment. It helps him clean the sea bird leavings off his boat.

Turks and Caicos

Byron Selman lives in Turks and Caicos in the British West Indies. Here is his photo demonstrating that DHL can get to some pretty remote places in little vans.

Taking Delivery

He also keeps up a blog site covering a range of topics that could be worth checking out. www.2gringos.blogspot.com He certainly does his homework on the products he buys, as we know he grilled us pretty thoroughly while deciding on his watermaker for his cat.

Rainman Headquarters

Many customers would like to stop by and see where the systems are being made. Unfortunately, it’s only the customers in Sydney that can do this. We always like to speak with people face to face when possible, but this is rarely the case. The vast majority of systems we make are now exported from Australia.

Rainman Workshop

We normally make all systems in runs of ten to sixteen at a time. Here we have a bunch of electric pressure supply units ready to be boxed up and sent off on great adventures.

Philippines Resort

A small kiteboarding resort (www.kiteboarding-philippines.com) can host about fifteen guests and has no fresh water access, other than making their own.

They have a small diesel generator and two Rainman AC and High Output RO units. Running both systems for extended periods of time, they make about 1,000 litres per day.

Oman

Graham Owen lives in the Middle East and goes beach camping in Oman. His camp is far away from water’s edge, so he has to use his Rainman from a holding tank. He set up a separate water pump with a long hose to the sea, pumping water into a kiddie pool next to his Rainman. Then draws water out of that kiddie pool for his drinking and bathing water supply.

Sanctuary Cove Customers

At Sanctuary Cove boat show in 2015, we met a young couple who were just embarking on a three year circumnavigation. They sailed up to the show to find us and talked us out of one of our display units when the show still had two days to run. We then ran into them at the pub celebrating their new purchase. The following day saw them sail off towards Papua New Guinea.

Rainman Installation

About half of Rainman systems end up getting installed into the boat. Here is a typical install that has been performed.
