Our pricing page looks at your location to determine the most appropriate currency to present. In Australia and New Zealand, it presents AU$. In Eurozone, you will see €. The rest of the world will use US$. Our settlement accounts are in these three currencies, so these are the best ones to work with. Your location also determines the shipping cost since we have rates set by zone. The estimated duty and tax will depend on the location as well.

The listed prices do not include shipping. For Portable and Modular systems we have set shipping rates by country to keep costs predictable. The cost to your location is at the top of this page. Framed units ship in wooden crates, cost more to send, and are quoted on request rather than listed here. Shipping is charged at our actual cost with no markup added, but because watermakers are large and heavy, that cost varies significantly depending on where you are.

Yes, in most cases. Prices on this page exclude local taxes for destinations outside Australia. The top of this page shows our current best estimate of duty and tax for your country. We ship to dozens of destinations, so these figures can occasionally be out of date. We do our best to keep them current, but can’t guarantee accuracy for every country.

Every system ships with a starter kit of spares, five prefilters, two impellers, and 1kg (2.2lb) of pickle solution mix, plus a suitable length of intake and output hose. In most cases, it’s best to purchase your Rainman watermaker through your local dealer. Local support also means faster responses to your questions and your dealer will have the most current information on import taxes for your country.

Although our dealer network covers most of the world, there are still some areas without representation. In those cases, we’re happy to work directly with customers and ship systems straight to them.

This is best discussed with your local Rainman dealer, since payment terms can vary. If you have no local dealer and are purchasing directly from us, we accept either bank transfer or credit card.

In almost all cases, we have sufficient inventory for immediate shipment, so no deposit is required. On rare occasions, we get backlogged and request a deposit to hold your slot in the production queue.

Rainman watermakers are guaranteed to be free of manufacturer defects and to perform within the published specifications for a period of two years from the date of shipment to the original purchaser.

In the event of a warranty claim, Rainman Technology will inspect the defective component and repair or replace at our discretion. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser to and from our office in Sydney, Australia.

The warranty is void if the system was mishandled, abused, or not operated / maintained as directed by the user manual. Consumable items, such as pre-filter cartridges, lift pump impeller, high-pressure pump oil, high-pressure pump packings, high pressure hose, engine lubricant, or RO membranes are not covered under the terms of this warranty.

Rainman Technology’s liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of our systems to the original purchaser. Under no circumstances is Rainman Technology liable for consequential damages related to the failure of the system to perform.

Delivery time depends on where you’re ordering from. Many of our dealers worldwide keep systems in stock, so pickup or delivery can be immediate.

If your system ships from Australia, expect about a week to reach most parts of the world. Customs clearance can start as soon as you have the waybill number, so contact your courier the moment it’s issued to keep things moving. Couriers run reduced services to remote areas, so delivery there will take longer.

It depends entirely on your destination. We ship to dozens of countries, and import rules differ in each one. We are not customs experts and cannot advise on the laws of every destination country, so we cannot confirm whether a “Yacht in Transit” designation will exempt you from tax where you are. We are happy to note “Yacht in Transit” on the commercial invoice on request, but the requirements are a matter between you and customs at your destination.

We price in three currencies, US dollars, euros, and Australian dollars, based on where you are in the world. We calculate pricing internally in one currency, then convert it to the other two using the midmarket exchange rate on the day, so all prices are brought into parity. The only real price differences between countries come from shipping cost and local taxes.

We generally update pricing annually. Exchange rates can cause currencies to drift apart somewhat over the year, but this is usually not significant.

Our website prices exclude shipping and local taxes. Many dealers publish an all inclusive price that already includes those costs, which is why it looks higher than the price on our website.

Our tax estimates are based on our own research and may not always match what is actually charged. Dealers in some countries (typically in emerging economies) sometimes face additional clearance fees, which needs to be incorporated into the final price.
