Rainman watermakers are manufactured in several different formats for customers with different applications. There are very few differences internally between many of the systems. For example, all the 115VAC systems (except 240L Torrent) use the same internal pump and motor assembly. The difference is in how it’s packaged externally and what controls are configured to manage the watermaker process. A summary of configurations is as follows:

• Portable – No installation required. Designed for those that want to avoid plumbing in their boat, move systems between boats, use on beaches, or emergency response applications.
• Basic Manual – The Modular systems come with valve/gauge assembly and flow meter for minimalist installations. Control components are manually installed in convenient locations as required.
• Manual Control Panel – This option gives operator an easier and aesthetically appealing interface. It has electronics for salinity and autoflush to assist in manual operation, but operation is not reliant on those electronics.
• Auto Control Panel – For a more luxury experience, this fully automated system is equipped with pressure control, automated diversion, timer, phone app, and integration with external switching. Importantly, it has full manual backup in case of any electronics or sensor problem.
