The majority of customers will not need this page. If you are a new customer buying a Naked Rainman, the Control Panel will be fully compatible. If you currently own a Rainman, this guide will tell you exactly what is required to operate our Control Panel. If you are buying a new Rainman in a blue case, you should also use this guide.
In order to optimise the design of Rainman’s Control Panel, we needed to make updates on some of the parts involved. The Control Panel is backwards compatible with older Rainman systems with the purchase of a few minor components. By answering a number of questions about your current Rainman, we can determine the exact components required.

A petrol (gasoline) powered Rainman is not designed for installation due to issues with fuel fumes and exhaust. This system is not compatible with the Rainman control panel.
Your AC Rainman in its current configuration is fully compatible with the Control Panel . No extra components required.

RM-AC-230V-RELAY-COMPATABILITY-BOX or RM-AC-115V-RELAY-COMPATABILITY-BOX
The Rainman control panel is a low voltage (12-24VDC) device. Any Rainman PSU in the blue case, new or old, will require an AC relay box to be added. This allows the panel to control the high voltage to your AC PSU. Please ensure you include the voltage while ordering this part (230VAC or 115VAC)
The Rainman control panel is a low voltage (12-24VDC) device, which controls the AC power to the PSU via a relay. The older Rainman AC Naked systems with the black capacitor box do not have the relay built in, so an external relay box must be mounted near the PSU and connected to the control panel. Please ensure you include the voltage while ordering this part (230VAC or 115VAC)
RM-NAKED-GAUGE-HOSE-ASSEMBLY
Your RO unit has valve/gauge permanently mounted in a blue spine. The control panel needs the assembly mounted in its rear. A new valve/gauge assembly will come preassembled on a high pressure hose with a new RO pressure vessel end cap. This effectively converts a cased RO system to a current spec naked RO, making it fully compatible with the control panel.
RM-NAKED-GAUGE-ASSEMBLY
Your RO unit has an older version of the valve/gauge control assembly. The control panel requires an updated geometry of the valve/gauge assembly to physically fit into the moulded fitting.
You have the correct valve/gauge assembly, but the pressure gauge is rotated 90° and will present improperly in the control panel. There are three options for this:
RM-AUTOFLUSH
You do not currently have autoflush. The Control Panel can be run without it, but the functionality is greatly enhanced with the autoflush system. We recommend adding this to your Rainman.
RM-AF-TIMER-V1.2-ASSEMBLY
We have updated the autoflush timer since yours was released. The flush timer will need to be replaced due to minor hardware and software enhancements for the control panel.
RM-AF-MOTOR-VALVE-V2
We have updated the motor valve since yours was released. The motor valve will need to be replaced to be compatible with the Control Panel. The main plumbing is okay.
