Portable Rainman Watermaker Installed on an Endeavour 32 Sailboat (Bahamas)

The video showcases the installation of a Rainman Portable watermaker system on an Endeavour 32 sailboat. The team begins with a partial setup already completed, including a mounted membrane and high-pressure unit. They prepare to install a three-way valve below the pressure unit to control intake flow between saltwater and flushing option.

The crew engages in some lighthearted moments and teamwork, navigating tight spaces and making adjustments to reach the water tank.

Next, they tackle the challenge of discharging brine water out of the boat. They explore engine room plumbing and settle on a route using the bilge pump outlet instead of the scupper pipe to avoid interference with electrical components. A T-connector is modified to fit, using a bit of “MacGyver” ingenuity—shaving barbs and experimenting with fittings and hose clamps to finalize the discharge point safely and efficiently.

Once everything is connected, the generator is fired up to power the system. Valves are adjusted to send water from the membranes into the fresh water tank. The crew celebrates their successful installation and appreciates the new convenience and independence of having a watermaker onboard.
